THE JEKYLL ISLAND CLUB RESORT

Guests who stay at the Jekyll Island Club Resort will have full access to the resort amenities as well as full access to the Jekyll Ocean Club, the Resort's beach-front sister property. The Resort provides a free shuttle to and from the Ocean Club for Resort guests. Refer to the Jekyll Island Activities page for more information on the amenities offered at the Resort.

THE JEKYLL OCEAN CLUB
Guests are also welcome to stay at the Jekyll Ocean Club. While our room block rate will not be available for the Ocean Club accomodations, guests will be able to make use of the Club's free shuttle to and from the Jekyll Island Club Resort, where all wedding events will take place.

OTHER HOTELS
The Island offers a few other hotels where guests may choose to stay. Please note, however, there will be no transportation to or from these hotels to wedding events, and Ubers may be difficult to obtain on the Island. Please arrange transportation with one of the options we have provided in the Getting Around the Island section below.

GETTING TO THE ISLAND
FLYING IN
If you plan to fly in for the wedding, there are several airports that service the Jekyll Island area. Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) and Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) are both approximately 1 - 1.5 hrs drive from the Island. Brunswick Golden Isles Airport (BQK) is the closest airport to the Island, but is only serviced by one commerical airline and may have very limited inbound and outbound flight options. For our guests travelling from international destinations, the best option will likely be to fly into Heartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), which is approximately 4.5 hrs drive from the Island. For tips on getting to the Island from whichever aiport you choose to fly into, please see the Getting Around Jekyll Island section below.

DRIVING IN
If you live in Georgia, Florida, or a neighboring state, you may choose to drive to the wedding. Driving onto the Island is simple and there is a bridge connecting the Island to the mainland. Please note there is a $10 fee to drive onto the Island which goes towards maintaining the Island as a State Park.

GETTING AROUND THE ISLAND
RENTING A CAR
Renting a car is an easy and reliable way to get transportation to and from the airport, and for easy driving access around the Island. Note, however, that having a car on the Island is unnessary as all guests have the option of staying onsite where all wedding events will take place. The Island is also very walkable/bikeable. If you are interested in renting a car, however, we recommend booking with Avis or Hertz from one of the respective airports near the Island.

WALKING AND BIKING
The Jekyll Island Club Resort is lovely to walk or bike around. The greater Jekyll Island area is also easily explorable by biking ("Jekyll Wheels" - on property) or renting open-air electric motor cars ("Red Bug Motors"). Most visitors who are coming in for the weekend park and do not use their cars around Jekyll Island.
